How to Publish an iOS App: From Setup to Review
Use this guide to understand the complete publishing sequence before submitting your first app or reorganizing an existing workflow.
1. Prepare for publishing
Confirm that your Apple Developer Program membership is active. Prepare the app name, Bundle ID, version, privacy policy URL, screenshots and contact details.
2. Create the app and configure signing
Create a new app in App Store Connect with the correct Bundle ID. Create an Apple Distribution certificate and an App Store provisioning profile for release signing.
3. Upload a build and add information
Archive the app and upload the IPA. When processing finishes, select the build and complete the description, keywords, category, screenshots, privacy details and review notes.
4. Submit for review
Test the release build, core workflows and review account. Submit the version, monitor its status in App Store Connect and respond to review questions when needed.
